Jungkook BTS Deletes Instagram Account with 50 Million Followers: What Prompted the Sudden Move?

On February 28, Jungkook BTS, one of the most prominent members of the K-pop sensation BTS, shocked his fans by deleting his personal Instagram account. Despite having a massive following of 50 million users, the decision left many wondering what prompted the sudden move.

According to a post on BTS’ official fan communication platform Weverse, Jungkook stated that he had never used his Instagram account and therefore decided to delete it. He assured fans that his account had not been hacked and that there was no cause for concern.

“I left Instagram, I wasn’t hacked. I never used it so I just deleted it. Don’t worry!,” Jungkook wrote in his post.

Jungkook further clarified that he had never really been active on Instagram and had only made one post before deleting his account. The post featured a cover video of the song “Never Not” by Lauv.

Despite his lack of activity, Jungkook had amassed a staggering 50 million followers on the platform. However, in his Weverse post, he stated that he had no plans to return to Instagram and would instead focus on using Weverse to communicate with fans.

“I’ve never used it, what can I do!? I just want to use Weverse live from time to time,” he emphasized.

This isn’t the first time that Jungkook has disappeared from social media platforms, as he also went missing from Twitter for a few weeks in 2020. Fans have been left speculating about the reasons behind his sudden departure and have expressed their concerns over his well-being.

However, given that Jungkook has previously returned to social media after extended absences, there is still hope among fans that he will make a comeback in the future.

The reason behind Jungkook’s departure from Instagram remains a mystery, but it appears that he is committed to using other social media platforms to interact with his fans. As one of the most beloved members of BTS, his fans will undoubtedly continue to support him and eagerly anticipate his return to social media in whatever form it may take.
